Making money online with Project Payday!!!

Sometime mid to late February I happened to hear about a site called Project Pay Day. I've been looking for work to do from home so my eyes and ears are ALWAYS open. When I found Project Pay Day (PPD), I did a lot of reading and I did purchase a membership with PPD. I spent lots of time reading and reading and reading. What I read made sense and was something interesting to me. PPD is not a money making program, they simply give you a plan. I'm going to tell you everything I know, everything I've learned and everything I love about this way of making money.

I'm going to try and explain this in simple terms. It really is very simple. I'm also going to give you a step by step method of how I make this work for me.

Here it goes...

Surfing the net have you ever seen an advertisement along the lines of "Click here and get your free IPOD?" Well, that isn't a scam.

Sites that offer free items are called "Incentivized Freebie Websites" or IFW's.

You might be curious as to HOW the IFW's are able to give away free PRIZES and free MONEY. It's a very simple process. There are many different products advertised on the IFW's. Advertisers pay the IFW's.

Here's how it works...
  1. ERIN signs up on IFW A and registers for a free gift of $40 in paypal cash.
  2. In order to receive that $40 in paypal cash, ERIN must refer 1 person (PAUL) to IFW A.
  3. PAUL must complete a specified number of advertised offers to complete their referral requirements.
  4. Some examples of the offers are (book clubs, car clubs, credit reports, Blockbuster, Netflix, and various other trials).
  5. Some offers are free, some are not. There are A LOT of good deals out there though.
  6. Once a PAUL completes his requirement, his status on the IFW site will change to 'complete' or GREEN (as it's known in the freebie world).
  7. PAUL completed the required number of offers and he is GREEN.
  8. ERIN cashes out and receives $40 in paypal cash.
Pretty simple right? Pretty boring too. But, here's how you make money.

There are two ways to make money in this business; Method One and Method Two.

Method One
BECOME A PAID REFERRAL

(Method one is more difficult and less fruitful than method two but you can't get to method two without it!)

People in the freebie biz will pay you to be a referral for them. Most often the pay is 50% of what they earn. I've seen it as high as 80% but not lower than 50%

You will need a verified paypal account. You will be paid via paypal.
  1. Register for a referral swapping site. There are a few but, the one I'm using and therefore the one I'm most comfortable recommending is Free Lunch Room (FLR).
  2. Once a member of the FLR forum read as many of the posts in the TUTORIALS section until you are comfortable.
  3. Find the section entitled "Paying for referrals".
  4. Read the messages in that section.
  5. Check out the traders.
  6. Find someone you are comfortable with.
  7. Send that person a message letting them know you want to trade with them.
  8. He/She will set up the trade and give you step by step instructions for the IFW he/she needs you to work on.
  9. Complete the requirements for that IFW and go GREEN.
  10. Get paid once you are GREEN.
  11. Once you are GREEN on an IFW you can use that site to pay for your referrals and make more money (method two).
**MY BEST ADVICE AND WHAT I'VE LEARNED AFTER STARTING THIS BUSINESS, WHEN YOU ARE DECIDING WHAT SITES YOU WANT TO GREEN ON FOR SOMEONE ELSE, PICK IFW'S THAT YOU CAN CASHOUT WITH ONLY ONE REFERRAL. **

You will need a valid credit card and you will need to enter it to complete most of the offers.

What I did was sign up for a credit card with a low limit. I ONLY use this card to complete offers.

You will need to keep meticulous notes. I set up a spreadsheet just for this purpose. On my spreadsheet I keep track of;
  • name of IFW
  • name of trader I'm working with
  • name of offer I completed (Scholastic, Disney, Netflix, Blockbuster etc)
  • date offer completed
  • length of offer (7 days, 1 month etc)
  • date I must CANCEL by if I do not like the offer
  • phone number and/or website to use if I want to CANCEL
  • cost of offer
  • what I'm being paid
  • if the offer has credited on the IFW
  • if the offer has been charged on my c/c
  • date order canceled (if canceled)
I will send you a copy of my spreadsheet if interested!!

My first week of being a paid referral I made $80 and put NOTHING out of my pocket. I worked on 4 IFW's and was paid $20 for each of them. The offers I completed did not require any money out of pocket.

Some things to remember;
  • Do not complete any offer twice. If you complete an offer for a free credit report from Freecreditreport.com on IFW A and complete the same offer on IFW B that will be considered fraud and you will lose your GREEN status. (Hence the reason for keeping meticulous notes and yes, I learned that one the hard way :-))
  • When completing offers, you will need to follow specific instructions (not using a proxy like America Online, clearing cookies before completing offers etc) Your trader will guide you through these guidelines.
  • If you are trying an offer, DO NOT CANCEL IT TOO SOON or your GREEN will be taken away. You are definitely able to cancel but wait until within a day or two of the cancellation date.
Method Two
PAYING FOR REFERRALS

(Much easier and much more lucrative!)
  1. Pick the prizes you would like to work for on the IFW's you GREENED on in method one.
  2. Create your own "Paying for referral" post on FLR.
  3. Pay people to complete offers and go GREEN for you.
  4. Pay your referrals once they are GREEN.
  5. Once the people you have referred are GREEN, collect your prize!
Here's how it will work...
  1. Decide you are working for $40 in your paypal account on IFW A.
  2. You will need 1 referral to GREEN.
  3. Post a 'Paying for Referrals' thread on FLR.
  4. Get one referral to GREEN and pay them $20.
  5. Receive $40 in your paypal account.
  6. You made $20!!
Since starting on 2/25 I have made $1000. I have not been doing this full time and have been merely dabbling. People make A LOT of money doing this. Will you get rich? Absolutely not. Will you make a nice second income? ABSOLUTELY!!

I realize this business will not be for everyone.

This works for me because I like numbers, I like spreadsheets, I like the internet and I like money!

I just became a Project Payday mentor!!!

My first trade was with a WONDERFUL trader who has been doing this for awhile. She walked me through and was so supportive even after I completed two of the same credit reports as mentioned above and my GREEN turned to RED. She has been my mentor! Thanks KY WOMAN!!

MONEY SAVING TIP OF THE WEEK!!!

Hmm, maybe I should start a new weekly money saving tip of the week type post. How about I use the initials of the days of the week and make an acronym:

S SAVING (Sunday)
M MONEY (Monday)
T TOOLS (Tuesday)
W WEEKLY (Wednesday)
T TIPS (Thursday)
F FRUGAL (Friday)
S SUGGESTIONS (Saturday)

I started selling on Ebay and noticed that MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY (in other words A LOT) of gift certificates sell on Ebay for less than face value. That is a really nice way to get yourself a discount on something you want!! Or for those of us CVS addicts, this is a GREAT way to increase our CVS savings.

Check out the current gift cards on ebay and see if there is anything that can save you money!!

ENJOY!!!

Let me know if you have any SMTWTFS that can help the rest of us!!

Take a breath...

It seems the majority of us spend a great deal of time worrying about money, bills, making ends meet, how to fit all we have to do in one day etc. Sometimes we have to worry about those things but most of the time we don't.

Trace Adkins, one of my favorite country musicians, has a new hit that makes me cry every time I hear it. It's a story of enjoying each moment we're given. It is such a wonderful song with an even more poignant message. ENJOY EACH DAY!!!

I try very heard to abide by this message but it is very hard some days!!

Last night though, Spencer waited up for Paul to get home from work at 11:15. He was so tired, but wanted to see his Daddy. Finally at around midnight Spencer went up to lay in our bed. I went up with him and started reading my book. After a few moments, I told him to just cuddle on my chest. I rubbed his arms and face and told him how my Mommy used to rub my face like that too. I watched him fall asleep. I watched his eyelids get heavy and his breathing get more rhythmic. Then his body just relaxed. It was pure joy in the simplest form. A few minutes later Daddy came to bed. Spencer was laying sideways so Daddy moved Spencer. Spencer wasn't sound asleep so he felt all this happen. Then I watched him cuddle in his Daddy's arms with a smile on his face the likes of which ONLY Daddy can generate. I watched as the two of them fell asleep. True love, pure and simple. It was amazing.

(This wasn't last night's picture but you get the idea.)

We all need to remember to take deep breaths and take these moments in, relish and linger in them for as long as we can. All the other worries will still be there tomorrow.

Here is a link to the Trace Adkins song, "You're Gonna Miss This"

and here are the lyrics...

She was starin out the window of their SUV
Complainin sayin I can't wait to turn 18
She said I'll make my own money
And I'll make my own rules
Momma put the car in park out there in front of the school
And she kissed her head, and said
'I was just like you'
You're gonna' miss this
You're gonna' want this back
You're gonna' wish these days
Hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna' miss this
Before she knows it she's a brand new bride
In her one bedroom apartment
And her daddy stops by
He tells her it's a nice place
She says, 'It'll do for now'
Starts talkin' about babies, and buyin a house
Daddy shakes his head
And says baby just slow down
Cuz' you're gonna' miss this
You're gonna' want this back
You're gonna' wish these days
Hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna' miss this
Five years later there's a plumber
Workin' on the water heater
Dog's barkin', phone's ringin'
One kid's cryin' one kid's screamin'
And she keeps apologizin'
But he says they don't bother me
I've got two babies of my own
One's thirty- six, one's twenty- three
Huh, it's hard to believe
But you're gonna' miss this
You're gonna' want this back
You're gonna' wish these days
Hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna' miss this
You're gonna' miss this
Yeaahhhh... you're gonna' miss this...
